Hi, I’m Sid — mum of two spirited girls, writer, storyteller, foodie, dreamer, and the heart and soul behind Eat Play Travel with Sid.
If you’re here, chances are you’re juggling life, motherhood, ambition, emotions, deadlines, snacks, guilt, a dream you shelved years ago, and maybe one rogue sock that has followed you through three house moves.
And if you’ve ever paused in the middle of that swirling chaos and thought,
“Wait… is this it? What happened to the girl I was supposed to become?”
then pull up a chair.
You’re in the right place.
Because I’ve been her.
I am her.
A mum rediscovering herself.
A woman reclaiming her dreams.
And a writer finally giving her words the space they always deserved.
This space is a little bit food, a little bit travel, a little bit motherhood — and a whole lot of heart.
I built Eat Play Travel with Sid for women who are juggling real life but are still craving real joy.
Here, you’ll find stories, flavours, adventures and gentle reminders to breathe… written for the woman you are now, not the one you were told to be.
Here’s what lives in this space:
This is not a blog about perfection — it’s a space about living.
Eating with delight, playing with ease, travelling with curiosity, breathing with intention…
and slowly, beautifully finding yourself again.
I’m a woman who loves good food, great stories, tiny adventures, big feelings, and sunsets that stop you mid-sentence.
I grew up in India, moved to Australia at 18 with a suitcase full of dreams, studied Software Engineering and Multimedia, and crafted a career as an analyst — because my brain said, “be practical” and the world said, “choose a real career.”
But my heart? It never moved on from writing.
At my core, I’m a writer who started scribbling stories at 15, a dreamer who still believes in happily-ever-afters, and a curious heart who finds magic in new cultures, flavours, and conversations with strangers.
Even when life nudged me toward the sensible path, that creative pulse never left — it simply waited for me to return.
I love skydiving-level thrills and spa-day softness, cocktails I try to decode, pretty stationery I don’t need, and moments that make life feel delicious.
But more than anything,
I’m a woman learning, unlearning, rediscovering and returning to herself.
Motherhood shaped my life in the most beautiful ways — but it doesn’t define all of me.
Somewhere between the routines, the deadlines and the endless “Mum, where’s my…?” moments, I realised I’d quietly put myself on pause. Not lost — just muted.
I’m a woman who once placed her dreams on the top shelf “for now”… and then forgot they were even there. Life got loud. I got lost in the noise. And one day, somewhere between packing lunches and folding Mount Laundry, I realised I missed… me.
So, I started choosing myself again.
Writing again.
Cooking again.
Travelling again — this time with my girls in tow.
Slowly, gently, hilariously, I began rediscovering the parts of myself I had tucked away.
I’m finding the woman behind the mum —
the writer, the dreamer, the traveller, the creator, the one with her own spark.
If you’ve ever felt like parts of you have been sitting in the background…
I’m glad you’re here.
Eat Play Travel with Sid didn’t begin as a blog idea — it began as a feeling.
The kind that bubbles up when you taste something unforgettable, watch your kids discover the world, or step into a new place that makes your whole body exhale.
For years, I carried those moments quietly:
I wrote about them in notes on my phone, scraps of paper, half-finished captions… never quite brave enough to share them.
But the more I travelled, cooked, played, explored and observed, the more one truth became impossible to ignore:
These moments deserved a home.
And my words deserved somewhere to land.
So, I finally found the courage and created one.
Not a glossy highlight reel — but a warm, honest space to tell real stories.
A place to celebrate food that comforts, travel that sparks something inside you, playful moments that make life lighter, and reflections that remind us, we’re still growing.
Eat Play Travel with Sid came to life because I wanted to gather the pieces of the world that make me feel alive — and share them with women who are craving the same.
This isn’t just a blog.
It’s a collection of joy, curiosity, flavour, memory and rediscovery — built one story at a time.

Discover why “me time” isn’t selfish — it’s survival. Learn how to recharge, reset, and reclaim your sanity (and your sparkle) with small self-care rituals that help you show up as a calmer, happier mum.
I hope this space feels like a soft corner where you feel seen, understood and gently cheered on — whether you’re a mum, a dreamer, or a woman simply trying to remember who she was before life got so loud.
I hope it inspires you to take that trip, try that recipe, reclaim that dream, or just sit with a hot coffee before it turns cold.
And if all you find here is one moment of comfort or a tiny spark of joy, that’s enough.
Because joy isn’t accidental — it’s something we rebuild slowly and intentionally… often while wiping someone’s nose.
I share my story because so many women move through life quietly —
balancing families, careers, dreams, heartbreaks, routines, expectations —
and somewhere in the middle of all that living, they forget themselves.
Not completely.
Just enough to feel it.
I share my story because I know what it’s like to dim your own spark, to silence your creativity, to put your dreams on the “later” shelf and genuinely believe you’ll get back to them someday.
I share my story because writing helped me return to myself — and maybe my words can help you find your way back to you too.
And mostly, I share my story because joy grows when we tell the truth about our lives.
The real moments, the messy ones, the beautiful ones — all of it deserves space.
If my story nudges you toward your own…
then this space is doing exactly what I hoped it would.
If you’ve found your way here, I’m truly glad you did.
This space isn’t just my story — it’s an invitation into yours.
Come for the food, stay for the stories, wander through the travel guides, or simply take a quiet moment to breathe. However you choose to explore, there’s room for you here — your dreams, your laughter, your chaos, your in-between moments.
We may be walking different paths, but we’re all trying to rediscover a little joy along the way.
So, let’s do it together — one bite, one laugh, one journey at a time.
